Sorry for the delay on this post, we were sent this from the team last week, however have been experiencing a few blog technical difficulties... better late than never though...
In the European Cup Finals in La Molina, Spain our small squad of Kelly Gallagher/Charlotte Evans and Anna Turney were impressive.
Kelly and Charlotte skied brilliantly in the Slalom last Thursday under challenging conditions in the rain to take Gold and bring back the title of Overall European Cup slalom champions!
In the Womens sitting category race Anna also did well picking up the Bronze medal.
In the Giant Slalom Kelly and Charlotte skied into Silver with Anna picking up another Bronze.In the IPCAS races that followed the European Cup Finals there were more good results with Kelly and Charlotte picking up another Slalom Gold and then two Silvers in the SuperG and SuperCombined races. Anna Turney came away with another Bronze in the ladies SuperG. Ian Bishop skied brilliantly at the weekend to show exactly how much potential he has as a development skier. However, the course conditions for the male sitskiers (who run dead last) were atrocious with huge ruts and trenches, one of which caught him out! Ian though came away happy and amazed at how good his own skiing has become.The Coach was proud of all our skier performances.
